On the footplate of the A1 Tornado steam train, Jeremy has to feed the boiler with a constant supply of coal, Richard braves the saddle of a Vincent Black Shadow motorbike and James drives an old Jaguar XK120 as the trio discover what Top Gear might have been like 60 years ago. .

Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber continued to dominate practice for the British Grand Prix on Friday afternoon, with the German lapping in 1m 19.456s and the Australian 1m 19.597s. However, there was hair on the cake as Webber’s RB5 rolled to a halt at Stowe after an hour with suspected mechanical problems.
